Color Blending on the Rigid Heddle Loom -Scarf with Deborah Jarchow
Have you looked at some of the gorgeous color packs so many dyers are making and wondered how to best use them in your weaving? By using one of those color packs and the techniques you learn in this class, you can create a piece that blends the colors beautifully! Colors will be mixed in both the warp and the weft so the gradients flow together almost invisibly. This technique can provide the basis for many future exciting projects!
Supplies to bring: color pack of worsted weight yarn with 4 - 5 colors, 80 yards each color, 150 additional yards of darkest color - yarn must already be wound into balls, 10 - 15 yards waste yarn (worsted weight acrylic works best), measuring tape, manila file folder, tapestry needle, scissors, cardboard tube from inside a paper towel roll, 2 brown paper grocery bags, You can also use 4 - 5 colors worsted weight yarn in closely related colors if you cannot find a "color pack”
