Entrelac Coin Purse: Taught via Zoom

This class will be taught Virtually via Zoom.  We will add instruction on how to join the class.  You will need to buy the pattern in advance  - it is available on our website.  And please have checked gauge in advance.

This is an Intro to Entrelac Class.  You should be very familiar with knit and purl and can easily identify stitches to take this class.  Prior experience with picking up stitches is helpful.  The class includes a very, very detailed pattern with line by line instructions.

Supplies and Homework “Entrelac Coin Purse” Class Taught by Sharon Mooney at Hands On Knitting Center Day:

Size: 5.5” wide and 4” tall after sewing.

Materials: Items in red are available at HOKC.
~One skein (at least 100 yards) worsted to Aran weight wool or wool blend in color of your choice. Striped yarn works very well. (Shown in Noro Kureyon)
~Size US 7/4.5mm knitting needles, any type ~Size US 10/6mm knitting needles, any type

~7” Nylon zipper to coordinate with yarn
~Sewing needle and sewing thread to match zipper ~Yarn needle or large embroidery needle
~Optional: .25 yard lining fabric
~Sewing thread to match lining fabric

Gauge: 5 sts to 1” on stockinette stitch (flat gauge) on #7/4.5mm needles (adjust needle size if necessary to acquire correct gauge)

Homework: ~Get correct gauge on smallest needle. ~Using larger needles, cast on 20 stitches and knit 34 rows.
