Basic Beanie 202 on Zoom

Join Diane on Zoom to learn how to knit this cute beanie hat using circular and double point needles.  This is for beginner knitters who know how to knit and want to learn how to join and knit in the round, create ribbing, make decreases, transition from circular needles to double point needles, and closing up the hat.
This is a 2 part class, Part 1 on April 21st; Part 2 on April 28th; 11a.m. to 1p.m.

Pattern requires size US 6 and US 7 16" circular needles, and size US 7 double point needles, or in size used to obtain gauge. 
Gauge: 5 Stitches and 7 Rows per inch (circular gauge) on larger needle.  See Circular Gauge video.

Materials needed:
Free Basic Beanie pattern.
Approximately 175 yards of any worsted weight yarn
Suggested worsted weight yarn (one skein): Uneek Worsted (as shown in photo), 
220 Superwash Wave, and 220 Superwash Effects.

16" circular needles, Sizes US 6 and US 7.
Double pointed needles in Size US 7.
Stitch markers.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must have taken Beginning Knitting class or have basic knitting skills such as cast on, knit, and purl.
Requirements: Must gauge to 5 stitches and 7 rows per inch in stockinette stitch (circular) on larger needles. Instructional video for creating circular gauge availabe
