Invisible Stranding: Heart Headband with Susan Rainey on Zoom

If  you love the look of Fair Isle knitting (who doesn't!) and have always wanted to try, this is the class for you.  Susan teaches us the basics of invisible stranding that allows you to carry yarn across any number of stitches without catching the floats. Catching floats creates a visible pucker in your knitting and often allows the other color to show through. Invisible Stranding eliminates both of these problems.  After the class, you will have access to Youtube video tutorials that will help show you the process again.

This is a two part class.  In the first class you will learn invisible stranding.  In the second class you will learn how to finish your project and how to apply what you have learned to future stranded knitting projects.

You will receive a pattern for the headband in class and there is homework.  Before class, get circular gauge of 20 sts and 28 rounds over 4 inches on worsted weight yarn.  Recommended needle size is US 7.

Not required, but highly recommended, is the purchase of Susan's pattern "It's not about the hat."

Skill Details: For this class you should be comfortable working in the round, as well as doing basic increases and decreases. You will learn how to manage two colors while knitting.
