Classification: Technique
Weave Structure: Bound Weave, Tabby
Project: Decorator Pillow Cove
Bound Weave is a weft-faced weave, so the warp does not show except in the fringe. Making a cover for a pillow allows you to experiment with weft-color changes to make several designs. The Bound Weave fabric is more dense, and therefore heavier, than a “balanced” weave.
Recommended yarn:
Berroco Vintage DK (DK Weight) 1 Skein of 2100 Snowday for warp
AND
Berroco Vintage (Worsted Weight) 1 Skein of each color for weft
“Sea Foam” = 5120 Gingham and 5113 Misty
“Sunshine” = 5122 Banana and 5121 Sunny
“Dappled Woods” = 5112 Minty and 5185 Tide Pool
“Leather” = 5144 Cork and 5105 Oats
