Tips for New Knitters



This class covers:
  • What do the weights mean.
  • How do you know which way you are going when you pick up your needles.
  • Why so many needle choices?
  • Recognizing and fixing twisted stitches.
  • How and when to rip, tink, or fix a simple mistake.
  • and so much more!
Homework: Use smooth, light colored, worsted weight yarn, and size 7 or 8 needles.
Make 1:
Cast on 16 stitches.
Row 1: K.
Row 2: K3, p10, k3.
Rep Rows 1 & 2 until you have about 3 or 4 inches.
Do NOT bind off; leave stitches live on needles.
