Yarnival: Invisible Stranding: Heart Headband with Susan Rainey on Zoom

If  you love the look of Fair Isle knitting (who doesn't!) and have always wanted to try, this is the class for you.  Susan teaches us the basics of invisible stranding that allows you to carry yarn across any number of stitches without catching the floats. Catching floats creates a visible pucker in your knitting and often allows the other color to show through. Invisible Stranding eliminates both of these problems.  After the class, you will have access to Youtube video tutorials that will help show you the process again.

This is a two part class.  In the first class you will learn invisible stranding.  In the second class you will learn how to finish your project and how to apply what you have learned to future stranded knitting projects.  There is a one hour break between the two session.  The Class is recorded and you will have access to the recording for two weeks.

You will receive a pattern for the headband in class and there is homework.  Before class, get circular gauge of 20 sts and 28 rounds over 4 inches on worsted weight yarn.  Recommended needle size is US 7.

We recommend Alegria Grande and one Bocados or Two colors of Vintage.  Purchase of yarn is not required for the class but always appreciated.  You will need size US 7 needles, 16" plus a handful of stitch markers.

NOTE: This is not an Introduction to Stranded Knitting.  You should have experience with stranded knitting to take this class.

Susan will also give you a coupon code for her pattern "It's not about the hat." that will allow you to put your new skills into play!
