Yarnival: Shadow Knitting with Barry Klein on Zoom
Barry Klein will use his fantastic teaching and knitting skills to explore the art of Shadow Knitting. Shadow knitting is an optical illusion that shows a design with one angle and stripes with another. You will learn the ins and outs of this technique while getting starting on a lovely stole or scarf.
You will need 5 color of Cashmere Fine 16 - 4 skeins of the MC for shawl (2 skeins for scarf) and 1 each of 4 other colors.
The colors used in the original are:
MC: Color #14-4/50gr. for shawl (#14-2/50gr. for scarf)
CCs: Color #'s 37,11,28,15-1/ea color
Size US 7 needles (or size to get gauge)
Size of finished stole is 18x80" The scarf is 10" x 60"
The class is recorded and you will have access to the recording for two weeks.
