You will be making three samples of different 4-shaft treadlings, along with a scarf using one of the techniques you sample. This will all be on the same warp.

This is a three-day class

Monday, Feb 7. 10:00 A. M. to 4:00 P. M.
AND
Tuesday, Feb 8. 10:00 A. M. to 4:00 P. M.

AND
Wednesday, Feb 9. 10:00 A. M. to 4:00 P. M.

List of Required Materials:

10-inch or larger loom with THREE 7.5-dent heddle, Sleying (threading) hook, the usual tools (scissors, yarn needle, measure, etc.)A loom with Three 7.5-dent heddles is needed, along with holders for the three heddles on the loom. Click this link to see choices for three-heddle blocks. DK-weight cotton yarn in three colors is recommended. The warp will be one color and the weft will be two colors, alternating.

You will be using a provisional warp to make threading easier, so you will need 4 colors of size 10 crochet cotton: Red, Blue, Green and Purple are the colors used in the directions.

You will need a loom and yarn for this course. Looms may be rented from HOKC for $25 per week and the rentals must be arranged in advance as supplies are limited

Instructor Bio: Peggy has been weaving for more than 30 years, and teaching weaving at HOKC for 4 years. She is a member of the Bloomington (Indiana) Spinners and Weavers Guild.
