Love crocheting hats? Hate doing swatches? Let Edie show you how to crochet top-down beanie style hats without doing a gauge swatch. Make any size hat with any size yarn, and get a perfect fit every time. These hats are perfect for stash-busting and charity projects, and the techniques are easy enough for advanced beginning crocheters to master. More advanced students will have the opportunity to experiment with texture and colorwork patterns.

Supplies: Non-fuzzy, medium- or light-colored yarn in any size from fingering to bulky (worsted weight and above is suggested for class, but you can really use any size); crochet hook(s) in size(s) appropriate for your yarn

I love to knit and to crochet (and weave and sew). I serve as a Knit-Crochet Diplomat, easing the schism that can exist between those two disciplines. My goal is to make every yarn crafter feel comfortable and confident in their skills. Whether you are a beginner learning techniques, or a professional trying to improve your pattern-writing skills, I have something to offer. |
