Weaving with Supplemental Weft with Peggy via Zoom


Classification: Technique
Weave Structure: Plain Weave or Tabby
Project: Scarf

Using a kit you will be weaving a scarf. The warp will have 1 color. The weft will have several colors and yarn types.

Suggested Yarns:

Bamboo Pop DK (DK Weight) 2 balls of 102 Cream for warp and base weft


Happy Cotton (DK Weight) 1 ball of each color for supplementary weft

781 Wicket
798 Princess

You will want small amounts of several different yarns for the supplemental weft. Choose various colors and/or textures of yarns that are the same weight or heavier than the warp. The base weft will be the same as the warp.

The photo is of a menorah,  but we will be weaving a geometric pattern in the class. The photo is to give you an idea of the range of supplemental weft uses.



Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must already know how to wrap your loom.
Materials Included: None
Requirements: You will need a loom at least 12-inches wide, a 7.5-dent heddle, and the Yarn Kit from HOKC.
