My Favorite Things KAL
Join us for a KAL in 2024. This is a time for you to think of the things you love the most and work them into your knitting! We were inspired by the work of Jamie Lomax's Doodle Cowls and Jilly McGee's Favourite Things Infinity Scarf. But we did not want to stop there! So we created workbooks (optional) for you to create your own designs. They include knitters graph paper for Fingering, DK, and Worsted weight gauges. And why stop at cowls? Try hats, socks, mitts, or sweaters. Work on one project for the year or many. Bottom line, just join in, relax, and knit.
Yarns that we recommend:
Vintage comes in Worsted, DK, and Fingering. They have a great variety in color and are a good pricepoint.
Seal Rock and Seal Pups by Alexandra the Art of Yarn are DK weight and have full skeins and minis - a great way to add pops of color to your pieces. These are hand dyed, 100% superwash Merino.
Manos' Alegria Grande and Bocados are also a hand dyed yarns that are full skeins and minis - but in worsted weight and are a blend of superwash Merino and Nylon.
16 Fingering is one of our favorite, luscious fingering weight yarns that come in 50g skeins - they would be perfect to augment your stash. They are the first shearing of a Merino Sheep so they feel like cashmere but knit like wool!
Ciao is a fantastic, 100% superwash Merino wool yarn sold in 50g balls with a wide a selection.

If stranded colorwork is not your thing, no worries. The graph paper will work for beads, mosaic, or lace as well. And we are here to help.
We will meet on Zoom once a month. The Zoom sessions will be recorded and the links found below.
