YARNIVAL Birthday Plaid

All YARNIVAL Classes are taught via Zoom, they are recorded and students have access to the recording for 30 days.

Barry will be at HOKC for the class!  You can join us a a "Live Audience" or join us on Zoom.  If you are in store, come in a little early to play with yarn!  If you are at home, have access to a large stash - you will need up to 6 yarns.  The colors and weights may vary.

There are so many wonderful patterns to choose from but sometimes you need to give something extra special…….something that represents a birthday, a wedding, an anniversary, a friendship or simply……just today because you’re going to learn something new.

In class you’ll learn how to select the date you want to use and how it relates to the number of rows worked for each color/yarn and how many yarns you will need to select and then how much you will need to have to complete it. We will talk about pillows, blankets, shawls, wraps. We’ll even talk about just doing the technique and not worrying about a date but learning how to crochet the base mesh and weave another yarn/fiber in the opposite direction. Sooo much fun.

In class you will learn about mixing yarns, colors, and creating texture.  Barry will walk you through the numbers and you will create a swatch - a perfect gauge swatch to make a larger piece!
