YARNIVAL Amigurumi Skills



All YARNIVAL Classes are taught via Zoom, are recorded, and registered students have access to the recording for 30 days after the class.

Class Description:

Whether you have tried Amigurumi or are new to it, this class will increase your skill set.  The class includes a kit of your choice.  You will have a chance to work on it, but might be just as happy to have some scrap yarn to practice with during the class.  The class will cover in detail:

  • Reading the pattern
  • Basic stitches (magic circle, increases and decreases - invisible)
  • More advanced stitches (decrease double crochet, sc3tog, …)
  • Making oval shapes
  • Changing colors
  • Making hair 
  • Attaching legs to bodies
  • Adding accessories such as the movable joints, and wind-up feet (seriously, how fun does this sound?!!)

Class Materials: Amigurumi Kit
You can choose your own kit.  There are three skill levels available.
For Beginners choose from: Koala, Hen, and Bunny
For Intermediate choose from: Lion, Lamb, Violet
For Advanced choose from: Octopus, Poodle, and Giraffe

Skill Details: Any skill level of Amigurumi is acceptable.

Her passion for developing techniques and products is evident in her work, and she successfully exported these innovations from a French company to the competitive U.S. market. During her tenure as a **National Product Educator and Consultant** at Bernina International, Christine served as a guiding force in the textile world. In France, she became a nationally recognized educator, equipping retailers with in-depth product knowledge and fostering a deep understanding of Bernina's sewing and embroidery machines. In the USA, her role as a consultant involved training dealers, conducting workshops, and providing crucial support during product launches. Christine's expertise extends beyond her professional roles. As the owner of a Bernina store in Bordeaux, France, she not only managed the business but also shared her passion through classes covering various textile techniques, from sewing and garment making to fabric and yarn dyeing, knitting, crochet, weaving and art textiles. Her bilingual proficiency in English and French, coupled with technical sewing / fiber techniques, sales and marketing skills, and graphic software proficiency, allows her to teach effectively. Now part of the Circulo team, her vast knowledge of knitting, crochet, Tunisian crochet, weaving has helped in developing classes, being the pattern support person for the last 18 months. Driven by a love for both the art and science of textiles and fibers, Christine's journey as a textile artist, designer, and teacher continues to inspire others.
