Suzi's Hat Class
This is a quick knit, and an easy fun to make hat. You should be able to easily knit one in a day! Excellent for quick and impressive gifts, great for donations, or just for those with cold heads! Class is being taught by Pat Cloud, master knitter and crocheter and a great teacher with years of experience, Sharon Mooney is one of the original owners of HOKC, designer, author, teacher. This will be a good class for those wanting to learn about knitting hats quickly and for people just past the beginning stages of knitting. This will help you learn to knit in the round on circular needles and also with double pointed needles. You must be able to cast on, knit, and purl with ease.
Materials:~16”/40cm size US11/8mm circular knitting

~16”/40cm size US13/9mm circular knitting OR SIZE NEEDED TO GET GAUGE
needles
~Set of four size US 13/9mm double pointed knitting needles
~10 Ring stitch markers (one must be contrasting to mark beginning of rounds)
~1 Locking stitch marker (used only to mark beginning of rounds when you change to double pointed needles)
~Yarn needle or large embroidery needle~At least 66 yards of bulky, #5, yarn. A wool or wool blend is best. (Juniper Moon Farm "Big Merino Wool" is perfect for this hat. Available is a nice variety of colors from HOKC.)~Small, sharp scissors| Skill Level: | Beginner |
