Design Your Own Lace
This class is perfect for any budding designer or anyone wishing to understand lace and
learn to competently read lace knitting charts. You will learn about the ins and outs and
the rules for designing lace and then you will receive a pattern with the same lace chart
dimensions. You can then trade your lace for the pattern lace (hat and fingerless gloves)
~1 skein worsted weight wool or wool blend yarn, color of your choice (light or medium solid
colors are best)
~Set of four size US 7 double pointed knitting needles or 16” circular OR SIZE NEEDED TO
OBTAIN GAUGE WITH YOUR CHOSEN YARN
~Yarn needle or large embroidery needle
~Small sharp scissors
~Pen or pencil for notes
~Reading glasses, if you need them
~Drink and snack, if desired
