Sock School with Gretchen
This will be a four week class. The class will be one hour in the classroom but then I will transition to the table and you are encouraged to stay and work on your project.
The first week we will discuss sock construction, determine your own sock “recipe” and cast on using the two circular needle method. Homework for week one is to finish ribbing and leg.
Week Two will bring us to the heel! We will discuss heel construction and work on the heel flap and possibly the heel turn. Homework for week two is to complete heel flap and heel turn.
Week Three will be continuing to work on heel turn if needed and then going on to the gusset. Homework for week three is to complete foot.
Week four will be the toe decreases and then finishing using the Kitchner stitch.
The homework will enable you to follow along with your own work. It is fine for you to work ahead and understandable if you can’t finish the homework but please understand that you will have less hands on time if that is the case.
