Weaving a Color Gamp with Peggy
A Color Gamp is woven with rainbow stripes in the warp and also in the weft. The colors are arranged in rainbow progression in both. The lets you see how the colors combine to make an array of shades. Using two L-shaped white cardboard pieces as a frame to view swatches of colors will help you choose combinations for your weaving projects.
You will warp your loom for a Color Gamp; either direct or indirect warping may be used. The weave structure will be tabby (plain weave), so this is a good class for newer weavers.

| Materials Included: | Yoga 5/2 thread in seven rainbow colors will be provided. Materials fee is $30. |
| Requirements: | 15-inch or larger loom with 15-dent heddle, Sleying (threading) hook, the usual tools (scissors, yarn needle, measure, etc.) You will use Yoga 5/2 thread in seven colors. You will need a loom and yarn for this course. Looms may be rented from HOKC for $25 per week and the rentals must be arranged in advance as supplies are limited |
