Duffers (Fulled slippers) on Zoom with Brigid
Father's Day is coming up. Make a pair of cozy felted slippers for Dad (or yourself!). If you still need the "Feet," "Felting," or "Class" square on your YARNO bag, here's your chance to claim one of them. You can also use this as a chance to get a Christmas present completed.
We will be using Mindie Tallack's Duffers pattern, that you can purchase on Ravelry. It's a super clever pattern that you will use again and again. You can knit them flat, but Brigid will walk you through the cast-on which will save you from having to seam at the end (yee-haw!!)
The two recommended yarns are Lanas and Deluxe Worsted. Choose two colors so that you can have different colored tops and bottoms. Noro Kureyon also makes fun colored duffers that self-stripe.
Before class, make sure that you have measured the foot of the person the slippers are for, and print out the relevant pages from the pattern (you won't need them all). Also, check your gauge: 3 sts to 1 inch in stocking stitch before felting.
