Beginner Sock: Magic Loop Top Down with Molly on Zoom
This class is for the first time sock knitter. You will learn magic loop, and how to make a sock from the top down. We will work only one sock at a time in this class. This is a 2 part class.
We use Tin Can Knit's Pattern, Rye to learn this process. Please download the FREE pattern before class.
Molly provides you with an alternative heel that is a no fail heel.
You will need one skein of worsted weight yarn.
We recommend: Deluxe Stripes - an inexpensive self striping sock yarn in worsted weight. If you want a more luxurious sock, try Alegria Grande - a soft but strong Superwash Merino yarn. You may also wish to consider Vintage Worsted.
While the pattern calls for two sizes of needles, we will use only a US 5 (or size needed to obtain gauge). You will need a 32" or 40" circular needle.
Homework: get gauge.
