Dishtowels with Brooks Bouquet with Deborah Jarchow on Zoom
Learn to make beautiful, thirsty dishtowels to match your decor. We will warp the loom in class so you can get lots of tips to help your warping be easy and efficient. Then we’ll weave the towels that highlight the Brooks Bouquet design. See how to incorporate this technique into your weaving to make the fabric look complex with very little effort. You will learn how to put the finishing touches on the towels on your own after class. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your kitchen with beautiful hand crafted towels.
You will need loom with 15” weaving width and 10 dent reed, sley/threading hook, clamps, warping peg, 2 tubes from inside paper towel rolls, scissors, tapestry needle, scotch tape, 2 brown paper grocery bags. You’ll be using 5 colors of weft, so you can use 1 boat shuttle and 5 bobbins (preferred) or 5 stick shuttles 5 balls different colors of Circulo Charme 100% cotton. This is enough for the 2 towels you are making in class plus at least 2 more towels to make later.
The colors used in the sample: 8990 Black, 3201 Pink, 0020 Natural, 5556 Turquoise, and 5203 Lime Green.
