Charity Lock-in: Twiddlemuffs for dementia patients
Twiddlemuffs. Have you heard of Twiddlemuffs? They’re a knitted band that we can attach items to that a patient with dementia can twiddle in their hands. They help stimulate patients brains while under care. Care units find they are simple and valuable to the patients. Designs with LOTS of texture are especially helpful.
Come help us support patients with dementia by knitting or crocheting a basic hand muff.
Bring snacks to share if you would like. Come for a little bit of time, come for the whole time! We'd love to have you!
