Description:

Classification: Technique
Weave Structure: Plain Weave or Tabby
Project: Placemats

You will be weaving a pair of placemats. The warp and tabby weft will have 1 color. The supplemental weft will have several colors.


 

Suggested Yarns:

Pima 100 Cotton (Worsted Weight) 1 skein for warp and base weft

AND

Bamboo Pop DK (DK Weight) 1 ball of each of 2 colors that will contrast with the Pima 100 for supplementary weft

 

 

 


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Must already know how to wrap your loom.
Materials Included: None
Requirements: You will need a loom at least 12-inches wide, a 7.5-dent heddle, and the Yarn Kit from HOKC.

Instructor Bio: Peggy has been weaving for more than 30 years, and teaching weaving at the Hands On Knitting Center in Redlands, California for 4 years. She is a member of the Bloomington (Indiana) Spinners and Weavers Guild since moving to Indiana in 2021, and teaches weaving at the Guild Fiber Art Shop.
