New Classes Scheduled
Designed to Fit Sweater Series Our very popular will start again in February -- with an additional class on separating for sleeves. If you have paid for and attended a class and want to take it a second time, there is no additional charge. Please call in advance to make sure there is space.
Separating for Sleeves Class 2B:
Maryanne and I realized that we needed to add a Class B in to help people with when to separate for sleeves and cast on under the armhole. There is no additional fee. It will walk you through when to separate for sleeves and how many stitches to cast on under the arm.
Two at a Time Socks:
If you suffer from second sock syndrome you need to take this class! You will learn to make two socks at the same time from the cuff down on two circular needles. There are videos to support you after the fact!
The only homework is getting gauge.
Tips for New Knitters
This class covers all the things your mother should have taught you!
- What do the weights mean.
- How do you know which way you are going when you pick up your needles.
- Why so many needle choices?
- Recognizing and fixing twisted stitches.
- How and when to rip, tink, or fix a simple mistake.
- and so much more!
There is homework for this class.
Fixing Mistakes
This class takes you through how to fixed incorrect stitches or dropped stitches in several fabrics including ribbing and lace. Homework is required.
