"Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush."-- Doug Larson

Spring is the time for lighter weight and
smaller knit projects that match the season.
We have a great addition of new yarns which include a collection of soft cotton (Autumn Wind), unbelievably smooth linen (Solo Lino) and ultra-soft, yet durable silk (Cashsilk) for light and airy spring and summer wear.

 ABOUT FINISHING...

A lot of excitement and enthusiasm is involved while planning and creating a project. To ensure that your lovingly handmade end-product reflects the same commitment,  great finishing techniques are very essential.  Finishing includes: Weaving in Ends, Blocking, Seaming & Adding Closures and Other Details like lining, embellishments, etc.
In Knittingcrochet and other textile arts
Blocking is the final stage of handmade textile production that adjusts the shape of the finished piece.  Blocking creates a beautifully
even fabric, which makes it easy to work with and lovely to wear.

Sue and Carol are experts at Blocking and can help make your project beautiful. Be sure to ask us in-store about our Blocking Price List.
Weaving & Seaming can be learnt over time. However, we at HOKC understand one's eagerness to complete the project and move on to the next one.  Sue will be happy to help you with the finishing, for a nominal charge.
