Sharon's Retirement Celebration

Saturday June 3rd from 12 - 1

Can you believe it has been a year since Sharon retired? We have long wanted to honor her amazing impact on HOKC and all of us -- the store would not be here without her!! But her first year of retirement has been far from relaxing.

On Saturday Sharon is teaching a class so we have her as a captive audience! We will have a potluck lunch at noon.

We have a card and are collecting money to buy Sharon an iPad Pro -- no obligation, only if you want to contribute. She is a trained water color artist but stopped using the paints due to chemical irritation. The pro and pencil would allow her to illustrate in watercolor again!

Mystery Shawl KAL

is almost here!

Carol designed a beautiful and fun shawl for our Mystery KAL! It is knit out of DK weight yarn on a size 8 needle! It is fast and fun.

We have bundles already picked out for you in store so come in pick your colors. We cast on June 7th.

All updates will be on Ravelry and in store every Wednesday.

Summer Top Series

I decided this class series needed further description. The series is a total of 4 classes and each class is $15.00

"How do you Measure Up? is a prerequisite.

Class 1A & B is one class split into two sessions. This class gets us started with understanding our gauge, how to make the changes to the pattern, and getting us started with the set in sleeves. Then you get a few days to knit and come back for the other side of the shoulders.

Class 2 Is about making adjustments to fit as well as how to insert stitch patterns into a very simple top. This class is optional.

Class 3 Review how to make a short row sleeve cap.
