Little Piggy Trunk Show!

Wednesday, August 9th!

We are thrilled to have Linda Gavaldon of Little Piggy Patterns in for a Trunk Show. She is bringing samples of her patterns and her samples will be with us through Saturday the 12th.

Linda is known for her fantastic designs for wash clothes and baby blankets.

Little Piggy Patterns:

Solo Lino is a 100% linen yarn that feels like a dream! It is 80% recycled linen and 20% new. Still very strong and capable of knitting blankets and face clothes. It is a lovely sport weight yarn.

Ecotone is ideal for not only wash clothes and blankets but is fantastic for weaving! It is a loosely spun 100% cotton, worsted weight yarn. This is the yarn to use for Kitchen Towels!

Pima 100 is a DK weight, 100% pima cotton from Berroco. It is a lovely quality cotton with a gorgeous natural sheen. It has amazing stitch definition and will translate into lovely baby blankets and more.

July Jubilee!

We are going to have our July Jubilee Drawing on Wednesday night! You should have received red raffle tickets for each item you completed. It is not too late!! Bring your form in Tuesday or Wednesday before 6:30 pm to get in the drawing. You do not need to be present to win. We will announce the winning ticket number by email.

Non-Weaving Classes

Spanish Moss CAL

Kandi is going to head up our very first Crochet-a-long! We have all fallen in love with the pattern Spanish Moss. It is a beginner pattern so we can all participate!

There is no fee to participate in the CAL but you will need to buy the pattern. You can buy it in store or on Ravelry.

We have an Intro to Crochet Class if you need to learn or need a refresher on crochet.

Intro to Brioche

Two Color Brioche in the Round

You will learn the basics of brioche in the round: the brioche knit and purl stitches, how to increase and decrease stitches, and how to weave in ends. The class fee includes the hat pattern.

You will learn the basics of two color brioche worked flat: the brioche knit and purl stitches and how to weave in ends.

How to Fix Mistakes in Knitting

Fixing Mistakes 201

After a quick review of twisted stitches and how to frog, we focus on fixing mistakes in several fabrics -- stockinette, garter, and ribbing. We do a quick look at fixing missed yarn overs. Homework is required!

Fixing Mistakes 301

You must have either taken Fixing Mistakes 201 or be comfortable with the skills. In this class we learn how to fix seed stitch, cables that have gone wrong, lace that went wrong, how to change increases and decreases, and how to fix dropped edge stitches. Homework is required!
