Trouble Shoot your Knitting
We have three class this month to help you become a better knitter.
Tips for New Knitter
This is not a beginning knitting class. You should already know how to knit and purl -- you may have been knitting a while or just a short bit.
We answer all of the questions you do not know to ask: What do the weights of yarn mean? What does all the stuff on a yarn label mean? How to I know which type of needle I should use? When I put my knitting down in the middle of the row, how do I know which way to knit?
We also cover how to recognize a twisted stitch, how to rip out stitches and pick them back up, and how to fix a mistake a few rows down. This is my favorite class to teach -- it is amazing how empowering it is to have a strong foundation!
Fixing Mistakes 201
After a quick review of twisted stitches and how to frog, we focus on fixing mistakes in several fabrics -- stockinette, garter, and ribbing. We do a quick look at fixing missed yarn overs. Homework is required!
Fixing Mistakes 301
You must have either taken Fixing Mistakes 201 or be comfortable with the skills. In this class we learn how to fix seed stitch, cables that have gone wrong, lace that went wrong, how to change increases and decreases, and how to fix dropped edge stitches. Homework is required!
