Do you have your yarn for the Spanish Moss CAL??

There are two samples in the store -- one is knit out of Solo Lino. This is a fantastic yarn by Lana Grossa. It is 100% linen but 80% of it is recycled linen so it feels like you are knitting with linen that has already been worn for a year.

The second sample is knit out of Ito Gima (cotto) and Washi (paper). I will say that I also think it would be fantastic and softer to mix Kinu (silk) and Washi. Ito is a Japanese yarn company that encourages you to mix yarns to create amazing and different fabrics.

If you are a new crocheter, I would recommend using Solo Lino as it is only one strand.

Spanish Moss CAL August 16th

Kandi is going to head up our very first Crochet-a-long! We have all fallen in love with the pattern Spanish Moss. It is a beginner pattern so we can all participate!

There is no fee to participate in the CAL but you will need to buy the pattern. You can buy it in store or on Ravelry.

This is not a class. You do need to know the basics of crochet. We will help you!!

Warping Board Demo -- FREE

As your weaving skills improve you may want to do more complicated warps.

Peggy is going to demonstrate how to use the warping board. The board belongs to the store and you would be welcome to use it anytime the classroom is open.

This Demo is free but you do want to clickhere to sign up as it is limited to 12 people.

Weave Kitchen Towels

Peggy is going to teach you how with one warp you can get very different towels based on the order you weave the yarn. You will warp enough to make two towels. This will be your go to gift -- they are fast, beautiful, and so very functional! Click here to register.

Intro to Weaving

If you have resisted as long as you can and now you just have to try this weaving thing, we have another Intro class! We have looms to rent for the class -- be sure to call ahead and reserve as the supply is limited. You will need two colors of worsted weight yarn -- preferable cotton. Click here to register.
