Classes next Week:
With Diane Hara
Oct 16th 2:00 - 4:00
Excited about your weaving but still not totally comfortable choosing colors? Diane will walk you through the impact warp has on your color choices. This is a hands on class with lots of time to experiment. Just be warned -- you will want to weave even more...
with Evelyn Ifft
Oct 18th 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Evelyn, a local fiber artist, will share her love of art weaving. She will show you the beauty of including stone, shells, wood, and more into your weaving. This class will open your eyes to a whole new use for weaving!
With Felicia
Oct 18th 6:30 - 8:30
Did you love seeing all of the yarn spun last week? Learn to make your own. Felicia teaches you how to spin on a drop spindle. There is little to no investment in equipment! You do not need a wheel to make lovely yarn -- and in fact, you will be a better spinner if you spend some time learning on a drop spindle!
with Sue
October 20th 2:00 - 4:00
It is Socktober! There is no doubt that you will fall in love with a sock yarn sometime this month. And if you have never made socks, this is your month! We are offering socks three ways. Sue is teaching a classic sock designed by Sharon Mooney worked one at a time on double pointed needles. This is a beautifully written pattern with a great sock teacher!
October 21st 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Finally, after much begging and pleading, Felicia is teaching her technique for knitting two socks at the same time. You will learn: magic loop, a super cool Turkish cast on, and a German short row heel. This is a very fast way of knitting socks! A must for those of you who want to make socks for gifts.
