Celebrate Yarn Companies Helping Women World Wide!
March 7th - 10th
Today is our last day celebrating International Women's Day.  We still have yarn our amazing International companies.

And today, we are taking our focus to the local level and celebrating creative women right here!
Lazer Sheep
Leslie began dying yarn only 5 years ago.  She has quickly built up a cult following for her beautiful colors and quirky names.  She is a one woman business and dyes her yarn at home -- with the assistance of her two beautiful kids.  Her signature sheep was a doodle that has been around since highschool -- just waiting for her to find her way to dying yarn!

She is introducing a new base -- a 50/50 merino/silk blend.  And we have 4 new colors -- and they are pretty!!

As always, there is not a ton of yarn so pop in early for best selection.

You can also find Lazer Sheep on Etsy.
BahBah Fibers
It has been so fun to watch Felicia on her fiber business journey!  She makes such lovely fiber for spinning -- and such yummy handspun yarn!

Felicia uses various techniques to make her different styles of fiber -- she blends existing fibers and creates her own custom colors through hand dying the fiber.  Her prep is fantastic and this is some fun fluff to spin!

If you are interested in learning to spin, Felicia teaches spinning the third Wednesday of each month!

You can also find BahBah Fibers on Etsy.
Porterness Studios
We know Jennifer because of her mom, Carol McCarthy.  There is a lot of talent in that family!  Carol is a beautiful designer and Jennifer makes some of the most beautiful and unique jewelry I have ever seen.  And she makes amazing, statement piece shawl pins!

You can also find Jennifer's amazing work on line on her website: Porterness Studios.
Judy will also be here today only with her fun products made from artisans in women's co op groups from all around the world.
Highland Springs Shearing Event
Volunteers needed!

Next Sunday is the Shearing Event at Highland Springs Resort in Cherry Valley.  This is such a fun event -- for the entire family!!  We will have a booth there and will be teaching classes.

We need a few helpers for teaching.  We are teaching spinning, weaving, and knitting.  We have a lead teacher for each of these events but we need a couple of helpers for each to make the experience a bit better.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Molly at handsonknittingcenter@gmail.com.

If you know how to crochet, we are still looking for a crochet teacher for the day!!  Please let me know!

Please note this is a two part class and the $45 fee covers both classes.  It is best if you have some needle felting experience.
