OMG!  Such fun things coming for LYS Day!!
First Annual LYS Day(s) April 18th - 21st

April 21st is the First Annual LYS Day.  Local Yarn Shops add so much to the community and we wanted to be part of celebrating us!  But we think the LYS is so fabulous that we need 4 days to celebrate...

Wednesday April 18th - Saturday April 21st we will celebrate all the reasons we love having a Local Yarn Shop.  We will have trunk shows and special classes and limited time kits and of course food!

Here are some of the promised, "More Detials:"
This is such a new event that we keep getting updates from our vendors every day so there are sure to be more details to come!
Makahiki KAL

Clue 4 will be out on the 10th!  The yarn should be here later this week and we will announce its arrival in the Ravelry Threads.

Charla is moderating two boards on Ravelry to help answer questions.  The first is a no spoiler thread for those who want to keep the mystery and the second thread allows you to post photos -- so if you want to know what it should look like by now, check out this thread!

Are you loving how this shawl looks but did not get a kit?  No worries!  First, it is really pretty in solid or we can help you find colors for it.

Not sure what we are talking about?  Sharon Mooney designed a 12 month knit a long.  (Makahiki means "year" in Hawaiian).  You have plenty of time to catch up because it is only one clue per month!  You can find the pattern here.

Fixing Mistakes

April celebrates the LYS -- Local Yarn Shop.  And there are so many reasons we should celebrate having a LYS available but the biggest reason is the expert help you can get.
It has always been our goal to keep the cost of education and help down so that we can really see our peeps grow in skill and confidence!

Molly is teaching three Fixing Mistakes Classes:

101April 9th  Covers the basics -- ripping, tinking, fixing a dropped stitch, how to avoid mistakes.

201April 16th  How to reach down and correct stitches in different fabrics -- garter, ribbing, basic lace, etc.

301April 19th  How to fix bigger patches of knitting gone wrong, lace, cables, seed stitch, and edge stitches.

Homework is required for each class!!  These are hands on classes.
Brioche

Brioche knitting continues to be really popular!  Molly is offering three Brioche classes this month.  The easiest class is the Basic Beanie.

Basic BeanieApril 11th

Once you begin knitting brioche you realize that the normal rules for fixing knitting do not apply...  This class covers the most common mistakes in brioche and how and to reach down and fix a mistake.  Bring your patience!!
