Sneak Peak of the LYS Day Kits!
First Annual LYS Day(s) April 18th - 21st

Wednesday April 18th - Saturday April 21st we will celebrate all the reasons we love having a Local Yarn Shop.

Trunk Shows for Knitters and Spinners!
LYS Day Kits
Catching Butterflies

Carol's latest design is so very pretty and airy enough to make it your go to shawl for cool summer evenings (or excessive air conditioning!).  The shawl is knit out of Fino -- a light lovely blend of merino and silk with very generous yardage.

We have a sample in store for you to try on.

We buy the pattern for you when you buy a skein of Manos del Uruguay's Fino this Wednesday through Saturday only.

 Catching Butterflies Pattern
Oink LYS Day Kit

Super cute cowl made with three skeins of Oink Pigment's Nimbus -- a soft squishy combo of merino, cashmere, and nylon.

We have a sample all knit up for you to check out and try on.

We have only really limited supplies in three colorways so come in early for these -- they will go fast!  The pattern is included in the kit.
Take the Chill Off

We fell in love with Alexandra's Crafts yarn earlier this year and brought in just a few skeins to tease you!

Kathy knit the store sample a few weeks ago and many of you have been waiting for this yarn with baited breath!  It is finally here -- or will be beginning tomorrow!

The yarn is called Dark Side of the Moon and has just a splash of color on a silver background.  The base is merino and silk -- and it is yummy!  We have 5 color ways to choose from.

We also brought in a super yummy, limited edition LYS Day color that is gone when it is gone and you will not be able to get it again...  This yarn is a merino/tencel combo that is gorgeous and soft and luscious and even though it has a bit of purple, I am completely in love with it!

We will pay for the pattern when you buy the two required skeins of Alexandra's Crafts yarn during our LYS Day celebration.

Take the Chill off Pattern
Lake District Shawl

Also from Alexandra's Crafts we have Black Butte cakes.  This is amazing yarn is a combo of wool, yak, and silk and is one of the drapiest yarns ever!  They come in extra big cakes with 800 yards -- enough to do most shawls.

Diane kindly knit a shop sample of this shawl and many of you have seen (and potentially drooled) over it already.  Well the yarn is finally here!!

We will pay for the pattern for you when you buy one of a Black Butte Skein during LYS Day celebration.

Lake District Shawl
Fino Shadow Shawl

We brought in some Mini-Kits of Fino just for this event and kitted them up with one skein of Fino to make this really lovely, and really easy, triangular shawl.  We only have two of each of the five colors of the mini skein kits so pop in early if you know you want one!

We have a shop sample for you to try on and pet.

Fino Shadow Shawl
Classic Elite Six Pack Kits

We are excited to introduce Classic Elite Yarns!  You will see more of their lovely yarns at the In-Store Yarn Crawl in May.  They have some amazing plant based fibers -- but more on that later!

The Six Pack kit is a pack of six different bases all in the same color family.  You get 4 patterns with the pack -- and all are really easy!  This is some serious TV or car knitting!  4 patterns are included with the kit.

This was a KAL that they started in February.  So we are late to the game but we like to run our own KALs!  They do not have to be official or anything...  Again, supplies are pretty limited and we have six color ways to choose from.

There is even a bonus pattern for two kits if you are like me and love the extra big shawls!

CEY Short Row Shawl -- Bonus pattern
Six Pack Triangular Shawl -- Bonus pattern -- two kits required
