The topper is a stuffed animal of your choice, with the attached tie-on ribbon. There is a plastic button form that goes inside the finished hat to tie the topper on -- that way the topper can be removed before the hat goes into the washing machine.
Knit on a number 9 needle, this is super fast and what a great gift! So popular!. You will not be disappointed. The pattern is inside the ball band, and you can make the hat either in a Toddler size or Child (adult small). You will need a 16" circular needle in US size 9 (5.5mm)
