This cowl was inspired by Aly Bee's first trunk show with us. I asked her to drop off a skein of yarn and I would knit something. With a yarn name like Aly Bee and a colorway, honey bee - I had to do something with a bee theme!
The cowl uses stranded colorwork and the design is charted. You must be able to follow a chart to knit this pattern.

Materials:
One skein Aly Bee “Worsted” (100% Superwash Merino, 190m/200 yds, 100g/3.5oz), color Honeybee (CC)
One skein Urth Yarns “Monokrom Worsted” (100% Extrafine Superwash Merino, 200m/220yds, 100g/3.5oz), color 4061 (MC)
16” Size US 6/4mm circular knitting needles
4 Ring stitch markers – you may want additional markers to mark chart repeats – consider having three colors of markers.
Yarn needle or large embroidery needle
Gauge: 5.5 sts and 7 rows to 1” on st st in the round. Note that you will be closer to 6 sts per inch when working in the stranded colorwork.
