Gauge for Small: 4 sts and 8 rows to 1” on garter
A note about gauge – you are looking for a fairly firm gauge that will felt thickly – as you change yarns it is more important to get this firm feeling than an exact size. Just have a little extra yarn…
A note about yarn - for the leaf you need about 10 yards of green yarn. For the orange you will use about 50% of a 100g skein. If you have full skeins of the orange and green, you can drop one skein of A if you want to stripe the handles or back of bag using all three colors.
Large and Small sizes are based on the weight of the yarn – you will follow the same instructions. Size will vary based on the weight of yarn you use, your gauge, and how fully you felt the bag.
