I designed “Be the Change” for HOKC’s celebration of International Women’s Day. We celebrate yarn companies that are women owned or help women in the world. And I was super excited to use Alexandra-the-Art-of-Yarn’s newest yarm, Irish Moss. This is a luscious, fingering weight kid silk mohair - with a high percentage of silk.
The motif is a subtle butterfly lace - butterflies always make me think of change!
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Skills Used: Knitting in the round, basic lace - yarn overs and decreases. Working on mohair.
The pattern is both written and charted. It does not use the entire skein - I used about 300 yards.
